The following are shareware games. I personally tested these on Windows 95. They are also supposed to work on Windows NT, and they can work on Windows 3.1 if you have WIN-32 drivers.
To protect myself, here is a disclaimer: shareware is not free. You have a certain amount of time to test the games. After that, you are supposed to pay the author if you like the game, and you want to continue to use it.
These are self extracting files. Note where you download them. Then, run the file. It will extract into all the files you need to either set up the game, or run it right away.
13out, 190.7k, this is a card game similar to solitare.
3dmaze, 1.1 meg, 3 dimensional maze.
3shuffle, 38.8k, another solitare type card game.
Connect four, 68.2k, a computerized version of connect four. Each player takes turns placing tiles in the rack. When ever there is four in a row of one person's pieces, that player wins.
6pack, 179.8k, this includes 6 different card games.
7 card stud, 158.2k, seven card stud (a version of poker).
magic 8 ball, 48.6k, if you haven't heard of a magic 8 ball, browse through the local toy store.
ABM command, 44.6k, 6 cities, meteors come down from outer space, you have to shoot them before they land on your cities.
Amnesia, 73.3k, a matching game, match up flags of countries
Autocon, 42.8k, another matching game, match up car company names
Backup, 142.9k, if you have ever played the game "Sorry", this is a computerized game similar to that game.
Bago, 145.5k, a 5x5 box of letters are given. This game is similar to bog, but it is timed.
BangBang, 49.1k, two cannons on either side of the screen are not on level ground, with a possible obstruction of shot adjust your aim, and try to hit the other one.
Battle Master, 57.7k, 2 teams (players) choose from a list of combat items (guns, jeeps, planes, tanks, etc) and attack each other on a large land area. Takes a long time to play if you choose all you are entitled to, and play until game's end.
BOG, 111.5k, a 4x4 box of letters are given. You are to make as many words as possible given the letters. If you have BOG, this is BOG 2!
OX, 43.9k, a grid is layed out, and the first one to get 5 of their tiles in a row wins. (Challanging against computer!)
Pitfall is a 1.7 meg game that I really enjoyed. It is an action/role play type.
Poker is a 635k poker game.
universe is a 77.5k download. This starts out telling you that you are stuck in a parallel universe. You are trying to survive by surveying planets, building cities, etc. This can be mentally stimulating.
vortex is a 213.4k download. Two players, red and yellow pieces, move along a path towards a center (home) square. If you land on a square that the other player is on, the other player loses its spot, and returns to the start.
